We didn’t set out to build a supplement brand.

We set out to build a garlic shop, a marketplace for people who take garlic seriously, with recipes, articles, and a genuine curiosity about what AI could do inside a real retail business. That was the brief. Modest, focused, instructive.

Then we started writing the blog posts.

The deeper we went into the science of garlic — specifically aged black garlic and its active compound allicin — the harder it became to ignore what the research was actually saying. allium. is a brand of Garlic Shop Ltd, itself a subsidiary of Begility Ltd. It grew directly out of the research we were doing to power the Garlic Shop content: the blog posts, the articles, the deep dives into what garlic actually is and what the science actually says.

That’s not an origin story we polished for a press release. It’s genuinely what happened. We were learning in public, following the evidence, and the evidence led somewhere we hadn’t planned to go.
